Since some years, the sneakers trends were sanctioned everywhere. With trousers, dresses, in casual occasions but also during official ones.
But this Spring/Summer will see the real predominance of sneakers that will go to the detriments of the high heels.
Don’t point me as an heel-hater because I like wearing them but nothing beats the comfortable side of sneakers, especially when you have to cross the city in hurry for job.
Luckily, during the last years, all the most and less famous fashion labels have revisited the old idea of sneakers. Not so sporty but oh-so-cool!
Meeting the wishes of an increasingly demanding audience of customers, the shoes became more aestethically attractive, far from the old image of trainers and more like an effective seasonal blockbuster. And the upcoming season will see the extra-effort of the labels to give birth to what will become the real must to have for the Spring/Summer.
And obviously the big question is… Will any brand out there be able to replicate the success of the Balenciaga Triple S?
For sure Louis Vuitton and Chanel are the favorites to conquer the summit of the best seller of the season, followed by Loewe ( thanks God for creating J.W. Anderson!) and its sneakers with a snake on the point that remembered a sort of Aladdin shoes.
But also Dolce and Gabbana with the possibility of customize them and the vitaminic and creative ones designed by Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood are ready to start the battle of the street style.
Valentino is the synonymous of class also in a sporty declination while Dior has presented a damper-inspired version.
Personally I am still wandering around with the hope to find a 36 Eu size of the Triple S but I am particularly sure that the LV ones will be able to comfort my broken heart by the lack of Balenciaga at my feet
